I saw a quilt in an old quilters newsletter magazine. It was designed by a quilt artist from Australia. I cannot remember the artist's name and I can't find the image of the quilt. After looking at that quilt I got the idea to make a quilt that represent me. I drew the design of the quilt in a notebook in May and last week I bought the fabric. Last night around 7pm I began working on the quilt and the next thing I knew it was 3:45am. I went to bed and basically spent the day working on the quilt. I sewed on all the beads and added the border. I am happy with the quilt, its not perfect and it's not going to win any awards but it tells my story. On the back of the quilt I wrote a little about myself. This was my first applique quilt and I like it. I've made lots of scraps quilts but this one is special to me and it's the first in a series I planning and my skills should improve with each one I make. And now for you enjoyment I present; Footsteps From Panama
I am a multi-crafter with many interest including sewing, needlework, lifestyle, reading, cooking, shopping, organizing, journaling, traveling and living life to the fullest.
