The suit in the pic below is by Donna Karan resort collection 2012. I fell in love with this suit the minute I saw it and the best part is that the fabric was in my stash. This project is a stash buster.
Here I cut the pieces apart.
Here is the interlining. The pieces will the sewn to the interlining. I am treating the fabric and the interlining as one.
Once the pieces were cut out, I realize that I had to flip over the interlining. I hand basted the chalk lines on the interlining and on all the individual pieces.
I started with my TNT skirt pattern and drew the lines, labeled and numbered each section. See the pic below.
In the image below I reversed the pattern.Here I cut the pieces apart.

In the pic below I sewed on the first two pieces of fabric onto the interlining, next to the red fabric a white fabric will be sewn.
The next post I will have the skirt completed. Here on the East Coast spring has arrived early. I had this suit in my sewing que I am going to finish this project before moving on to spring sewing.
