My Crochet Skirt and Crochet Infinity Scarf

I love this skirt. The sweater was a Xmas present from the DH with a cream color infinity scarf. Believe me this ensemble was not planned. I bought 5 balls of super saver yarn in this color last winter when I crochet the Angelina Jolie's Bag. This is leftover yarn. The boots are a beautiful purple, awesome that has been in my closet since last winter. Love them.

In the pic below I am wearing a cardigan with the infinity scarf that I started last night and complete just before I took these photos. I will post the video link from you tube. I love my coppery/gold boots.
Here is the video. Enjoy

Below is a photo of the crochet skirt. As you can see the stiches are quiet open, so the skirt will need a lining. More pic soon.

I uploaded the photo using Google chrome, I don't understand why the icon to upload a photo from my computer is not available when I use internet explorer?

Crochet Skirt- my first project for 2013

I was watching Hectanooga 1 on the You Tube channel during the holidays and she became one of my favorite to watch. She demonstrated how to crochet a skirt using you hip measurement. It was easy peasy. I started Thursday night and I completed the skirt today.  I did most of the crochet on Thursday and Friday and maybe 2 hours on Saturday and Sunday and one hour today. I am very please with the result. I am going to add a lining and it should be ready before the weekend.  I am having some difficulty uploading a photo of my finished skirt, blogger is not giving me a choice to upload the photo from my computer. Is this something new for blogger?

2013 Goals
  • Spend more time with family and friends
  • Organization- Home and Sewing Cave
  • Sew from my stash exclusively.  It's no secret that I have a lot of fabric. My stash goes back to the 1970's.  I'm going to check fabrics in my stash first before I purchase new fabrics.  It does not mean I won't buy fabrics, It means that I have a grip on my buying habits and the sewing laboratory is bursting at the seam.
  •   Sew garments  that will complement what I have in my wardrobe.
  •   Do more planned sewing, the rules for this year's contest at Stitchers Guild are very relaxed. Create an eleven-piece wardrobe consisting of two five-piece coordinated capsules linked by the eleventh garment.  I will not be joining Stitchers Guild  sew along, however I will be using their formula to add to my existing wardrobe using my TNT patterns
  •  Sew more dresses using my TNT Cynthia Rawley S1878 dress pattern
  • Create a TNT pants pattern
  • Create a basic TNT jacket pattern
  • Include more knits in my wardrobe
  • More Home Dec projects
Stay tune..... HAPPY NEW YEAR
